Friends of Boerner Botanical Gardens’ Recycled Art “WITH A PURPOSE” Contest

 Help us encourage friends, family and neighbors to recycle! Your participation in the Recycled Art Contest will show off not only the many recyclable materials around us, but will also highlight how creativity can reduce the amount of waste sent to the landfill. Recycling is great; reducing and reusing are even better. We look forward to seeing the results of your craftiness!

We’re looking for recycled art projects with a purpose!

The art must be made with something that, at one time or another, was used for a specific purpose, and then, rather than throwing it away is being repurposed, reused, and recycled.

• Contest is open to Milwaukee County Residents of all ages.
• Open registration from now until December 31^st
• Teams of up to four members in an age category may apply
• Only the first 60 registration forms received will be considered.

 All contestants will be judged on the following criteria:

• Use of recyclable materials
• Creativity
• Originality
• Level of effort

 First Place Prizes will be awarded in the following age group categories:

Pre School – 2^nd Grade, 3^rd – 4^th Grade, 5^th – 8^th Grade, High School, Adults, Senior Citizens
