****FAREWELL CONCERT FOR LIVERPOOL ’64****

A note from Doug Scherrer (aka “George”) from Liverpool ’64:

“After 6 years of fun, LIVERPOOL ’64 will stop performing.  Unfortunately, our John Lennon guitarist, Bill, is moving to Ohio in June and our drummer Ringo, Don,  just had major heart surgery this past week, so he may be unable to play for some time.

We discussed keeping the band going, but decided that it won’t be possible to replace two very talented members or the camaraderie that we have as a band, with new bandmates again.There is a special something that makes a band perform as one unit.   We perform about 60 songs with 3 part harmony and as Ringo sings “it don’t come easy.” If you don’t believe it, try it in the shower.  As a result, this will probably be our last performance.
