Special Margie’s Garden Tour

Meet in the Education & Visitor Center lobby.
Tucked inside Boerner Botanical Gardens is a whimsical, all-accessible children’s garden unlike any other — Margie’s Garden. Wander winding paths past larger-than-life flowers and garden creatures, climb into the giant bird’s nest, explore the enchanted village, sing the ABCs in the alphabet garden, and play the sound makers in the pollinator garden. It’s a place for kids and families to leave the screens behind, get outside, and “dig in the dirt.”
Join us for a special guided tour to hear the heartfelt story behind the garden — created by the Kezman family in loving memory of Margaret “Margie” Kezman, whose passion for family, children, and gardening lives on in every winding path — plus a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to keep this beloved space blooming. The tour lasts about an hour.
Why Your Visit Matters
Margie’s Garden receives no funding from Milwaukee County or Boerner admission — it’s cared for entirely through the generosity of donors. Admission to the tour is free, and a $5 donation to Margie’s Smile is encouraged, with 100% going toward the garden’s care so it can keep making children smile for generations to come.
Hosted by Bluemel’s Garden & Landscape Center.
Please note: no dogs except service dogs are permitted.
