DESCRIPTION:24th Annual Spring Symposium: \n“Make Mine Mediterranean!”\nPresented by The Herb Society of America Wisconsin Unit \nClose your eyes and envision yourself cruising the Mediterranean coast\, stopping at various ports to seek your favorite culinary herbs that are native here. The sun is shining through the fog\, the waves are crashing on the rocky shores\, and the air is redolent with fragrances of basil\, oregano\, thyme\, mint\, lavender\, and the quintessential Mediterranean herb\, rosemary! Carrie Hennessy will be our guide\, teaching us how to keep these culinary herbs happy in Wisconsin\, far from their homeland shores. We will learn how to grow\, harvest\, and use these herbs to create Mediterranean dishes. \nCarrie Hennessy is the Landscape Designer and Horticulturist for the Installation Department at Johnson’s Nursery\, Inc. in Menomonee Falls. She is a prolific writer and frequent speaker on a variety of gardening topics. \nCome sail away with us to the Mediterranean coast.
