Thank you for considering your gift to our 2018 Annual Appeal.

As we continue our mission to sustain and preserve the Gardens through our

in-nature program initiatives for all ages, your help is invaluable.

In 2018…

  • Broad community participation enabled FBBG to raise funding for nighttime garden lighting. We are now offering in-nature evening events for all ages!
  • FBBG’s decades long K-12 outcomes driven, hands on education programming served 16,444 (15,600 in 2017) Greater Milwaukee Area students. With children’s attention dominated by electronic media, our programming provides vital life balance for developing minds.
  • Community support enabled us to do a clothing drive for disadvantaged K-12 students who arrive for their winter classes without proper cold weather clothing.
  • We delivered interactive programs for all in our community…visually impaired students, adults with memory loss, those recovering from health challenges and transitional high school students.
  • 938 (723 in 2017) community and corporate volunteers helped Boerner’s in-garden horticulture staff maintain the Gardens…FBBG’s 9th year of this initiative!
  • FBBG engaged our community through in-nature learning and family fun with 156 (148 in 2017) education classes, family workshops, garden walks and special events throughout the year.
  • We facilitated our 4th year of FBBG Free Tuesdays at Boerner.
  • We supported Milwaukee County’s 3rd year of China Lights: a cultural festival for all ages…helping to build awareness of the Gardens.

As we prepare for the New Year, FBBG’s 35th and Boerner’s 80th,

YOUR support will help ensure our continued success.

With our gratitude,

Ellen Hayward
