Our report card to you!
- In 2012, 17,514 K>12 students participated in our broad range of hands-on, multi session/consecutive learning plant science & environmental classes; a 6% increase compared to 2011!
- Our 3rd consecutive in-garden volunteer initiative; 421 community members participated; a 47% increase vs. 2011!
- FBBG competed in and WON the 2012 Rainbird Intelligent Use of Water award for expansion of our rainwater harvesting project in the gardens - which also offers community constituents ideas for their own, at home conservation practices (project originated in 2009).
- We planned and facilitated 47 garden walks, classes and special events for adults, kids and families - includes our 2nd annual Winter Walk with Melinda Myers!
With electronic media dominating our lives, experiences outdoors, in our natural world are vitally important...our historic venue provides infinite opportunities for everyone to learn, enjoy and energize.
